From PERRYSBURG MUSICAL THEATRE
The Perrysburg Musical Theatre Company will hold auditions for its upcoming production of “Bright Star”. Music, book, and story are by Steve Martin with music, lyrics, and story by Edie Brickell and licensed by Theatrical Rights Worldwide.
PMT’s production is led by Artistic Director, Julie Bermudez, and directed by Samantha Henry withmusical direction by Nicole Spadafore and choreography by Jordan Gottschalk. The production staff welcomes anyone high school age and up to audition. Casting will be diverse and inclusive, reflecting our world today.

Dates: December 5 and 6 from 6-8:30 p.m.
Location: Commodore Building, Juliet Beck Theater,
140 E Indiana Ave, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
The parking lot is on 5th and Louisiana.
Auditions are by appointment. Sign up online for a time slot at least a day in advance of the audition. Those who don’t sign up will be worked in around other appointments.

Feb. 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. in the Juliet Beck Auditorium inside the Commodore Building, 140 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg.
Inspired by a true story, “Bright Star takes place in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina between 1945–46 with flashbacks to 1923. This sweeping tale of love and redemption unfolds as literary editor, Alice Murphy, meets a soldier returning home from World War II, reminding her of the child she lost and launching her on a journey to understand her past.
In 2016, “Bright Star” received five Tony nominations, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.
