Pianists Nano Beraia & Malik Halce to perform holiday concert at First Christian Church

First Christian Church Bowling Green, 875 Haskins Road, will host a free  holiday concert featuring pianists Nano Beraia and Malik Halce.

Beraia, a native of Tbilisi, Georgia, and her musical and life partner Malik Halce, a native of Kosovo, will present a holiday concert of music for piano and organ, on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. in the First Christian Church.

The program will include piano pour hand – Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite,” Johannes Brahms’s “Hungarian Dances,” Johann Strauss’s “Die Fledermaus”, along with famous organ/piano duos and favorite Christmas hymns.

Nano Beraia, born in Tbilisi, Georgia, is a dynamic Georgian pianist, currently serving as the worship musician at the church and studies at Bowling Green State University with Professor Yevgeny Yontov.

Her musical journey started in childhood. She has showcased her talent in international competitions, gracing academic concert halls with captivating solo and chamber music recitals. 

Beraia trained at the Tbilisi Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatoire and the Norwegian Academy of Music under Kathryn Stott.

Malik Halce, a dynamic Kosovar classical pianist, showcases a deep musical understanding across genres. Debuting at 17 with the Istanbul Symphonic Orchestra, he won the Young Pianist competition in Kosovo, leading to performances with the Kosovo Philharmonic Orchestra. 

Currently pursuing a music performance graduate degree at Bowling Green State University, Malik also studies with Yontov. His journey is marked by passion, skill, and a love for classical piano.

A freewill offering will be accepted, and refreshments will be served after the program.
