During a BGSU aviation program training flight Wednesday evening, the crew encountered an issue with the plane’s landing gear notification system, according to BGSU spokesperson Colleen Rerucha.

The crew followed safety protocols, coordinating with the chief instructor and maintenance. Safety crews were called to Wood County Regional Airport as the aircraft was brought in for landing.

The plane landed safely without incident, with all the landing gear functioning properly, Rerucha said. A post-incident review will be conducted, and the aircraft will be fully assessed and inspected by maintenance crews, she added.
