A local band and a Bowling Green-based ceramics artist are each holding fundraisers for the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund.

Potter Carrie Day is participating in an online fundraiser  hosted by  ClayAKAR. She is one of about 90 artists participating in the sale which begins Friday, June 26, at 11 a.m. and runs until midnight on June 28.

ClayAKAR and the participating artists will  donate 100 percent of the proceeds from this event to the fund.

Also raising money for the fund is the band Tree No Leaves.

Through June, the band will donate 100 percent of its share of sales from https://treenoleaves.com/.

According to the band: “The NAACP is a national organization that has a long history of effectively enacting racial justice and change through litigation, advocacy, and public education.”

For the fundraiser Tree No Leaves is offering a discount on its entire digital discography, 15 releases, for $20. We also have our “Prophet Holographic” vinyl $20 available with a free button and our 10th Anniversary Tree Ring shirts $10 with a free matching sticker. Get all three for $50.
