As the Memorial Day holiday approaches, law enforcement will be seen in force on the roads as part of Click It or Ticket enforcement effort. This campaign, from May 23 – June 5, reminds drivers and their passengers of the importance of buckling up and the legal consequences – including fines – for not wearing a seat belt.
Join Wood County Safe Communities Coalition, Mercy Health and local law enforcement and emergency responders on Tuesday, May 16, at 11 a.m. for the start of this annual mobilization effort. The public event will be held at Mercy Health – Perrysburg Hospital helipad 12623 Eckel Junction Rd., Perrysburg Presenters will be sharing current statistics for Wood County and Ohio, as well as discussing education and awareness efforts regarding the importance of using a seatbelt.
Mercy Health Life Flight will have a helicopter on site as well as various vehicles from area emergency response agencies.
