Ramona Sanchez, 94, of Pemberville, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Wood Haven Healthcare in Bowling Green, OH. She was born on March 24, 1929 in Sugar Land, TX to Ascencion and Simona (Martinez) Hernandez. Ramona married Marcos Sanchez on October 9, 1950 in Fremont, OH. Ramona and Marcos raised 6 children and celebrated nearly 39 years of marriage before Marcos’ passing in 1989.
In addition to being a homemaker taking care of her children and husband, Ramona, worked outside of the home a few years as a custodian at Bowling Green State University. She enjoyed to cook, go fishing with her husband Marcos and flower gardening. It was her family, especially her grandchildren that remained her first love.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Oscar Sanchez of Luckey, Sue (Michael) Crooks of Naples, FL, Janie (David) Rodriguez of Bowling Green, Mark Sanchez of Dunbridge, Manuel (Dreama) Sanchez of Perrysburg and Theresa (Jeff) Veith of Plain City, OH. Brother, Joe of Fostoria and sisters: Susie, Lupe, Aramdina all of Fostoria and Angelina of Clyde. 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Marcos, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughters-in-law: Janet Sanchez, Marcy Sanchez, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 3 brothers-in-law, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Family and friends will be received from 3-7 p.m., on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 W. Main Street, Luckey, OH. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. There will be additional visitation from 10 a.m., until time of service. Officiating will be, Deacon Jeff Claar. Interment will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey.
