Richard ‘Dick’ Rogers

Richard McDivitt (Dick) Rogers of Bowling Green, Ohio, died on March 20, 2023. 

Dick was born in 1936, Freeport, Pennsylvania and graduated from Clarion State College, Clarion, PA after spending four years in the United States Marines. Upon graduation, Dick joined Owens-Illinois. He retired after 33 years with O-I. 

Dick was a member of the Toledo Rotary for some 20 years. Dick was a Paul Harris Fellow.

After retirement Dick worked for one year with The International Service Corps in the Czech Republic. To keep busy he started a small import leather and hunting equipment business. He and his wife, June, were regular vendors at major gun shows in Ohio and Michigan. Dick also kept busy substitute teaching at Perrysburg High School as well as Junior High School. Dick is a member of Elks Club, Toledo American Legion, various Ohio and Michigan Gun clubs. He is also a Benefactor Member of The National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his wife June, daughter Susanne Williams of Marietta, Georgia, as well as two grandchildren Jack and Abigail Williams; Son Marcus of Fishers, Indiana and grandson, Joseph Rogers; Son Ryan of Marietta, Georgia and grandchildren Gill and Madeline Rogers.

A private burial at Washington Township Cemetery will be held at a later date.
