Ron D Bamm

Ron D. Bamm, age 81 of Bowling Green, OH passed away Monday evening, October 1, 2018 surrounded by his family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, OH. Ron was born on June 24, 1937 in Petersburg, MI to Ernest W. and Marie R. (Zeller) Bamm. On September 10, 1994 he married Brenda Carol Brown in Dowling, OH. Ron was a meat cutter for over 40 years and worked at various grocery retailers in the Toledo area. Ron was an antique car enthusiast, loved traveling the country camping, and especially off–roading in the jeep at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The Smokey Mountains were also a favorite location for both Ron and Brenda especially Pigeon Forge. It was family that was the center of his life and remained his greatest joy. His memberships included the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW), NRA, and the American Legion to name a few.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Brenda, son; Bruce (Connie) Bamm of MI, daughter; Dawn (David) Friedman of NC, son-in-law; John Gerweck of MI, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother; Darryl (Dianne) Bamm of MI, Ron’s extended family; Elaine Buchman, Jeremy Buchman, Amanda (Kip) McDowell and their family as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Danny Reinbolt, daughter; Sanjarie Gerweck and sister; Patsy Blue.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street, Luckey, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2018 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 22552 Carter Rd., Dowling, where there will be an additional time of visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Officiating will be Pastor Ted Kerr. Interment will be in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, OH. There will be a bereavement luncheon served back at the church fellowship hall immediately following the cemetery committal service.
