Semi crash causes traffic jam on I-75 south of North Baltimore

A single vehicle crash involving a semi caused lane closures and a traffic jam  this afternoon (9-28-23) on I-75 south in Hancock County just over the Wood County line

The Findlay Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that they were  called at  3:52 p.m. to the crash site north of Findlay.

Travis Frazier, 45, from Springfield, was southbound on I-75 driving a 2019 International Semi. The semi left the right side of the road, struck a guardrail, overturned, and caught fire. Frazier suffered minor injuries and was transported from the scene by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital. 

The semi sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene by Dick’s Towing.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by Allen Township Fire, McComb Fire, North Baltimore Fire, Hanco EMS, Hancock Wood Electric, The Ohio Department of Transportation, and Dick’s Towing.

The driver of the semi was wearing his safety belt at the time of the crash. 

The crash remains under investigation.
