Shelby J Myerholtz of Bowling Green, OH, formerly of Whitehouse, OH passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024. She was born September 18, 1937, to the late Ervin and Helen (Piddock) Schooner. She married Robert Myerholtz Sr. on January 29, 1954, 70 years.
Bob and Shelby owned and operated Memorial Vault Company for many years. Shelby drove school bus for the Otsego and Anthony Wayne School Districts. She also worked for Ed Schmidt Pontiac as a salesperson before transitioning to the Welles Bowen Real Estate Company. Shelby’s passion were her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Bob of 70 years, sons Robert Jr. (Shelly), Shawn (Carolyn) and daughter Paige Brown (Scott). She is also survived by siblings Lon (Pam) Schooner, Pat Harrison and Kathy (Tim) Sands. Grandchildren Robert III, Graeme, Nathan, Adam, Brandon, Brooke, Elizabeth and Justin. Also 13 Great Grandchildren. Special family member Jayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Ervin Jr., Ted Schooner, Ron Schooner, Larry Schooner, Gary Schooner and Sharon Weaver. A son Lynne and great granddaughter Lorelei also preceded her.
The family would like to thank Bob and Shelby’s personal caregiver, Amy as well as the staff at Heritage Corners and Bridge Hospice.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bridge Hospice.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday June 15, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Tonotgany American Legion located at 18086 Tontogany Rd. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home Whitehouse, Ohio.
