Sheriff launches Halloween traffic enforcement blitz

Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn announced that the Sheriff’s Office will be conducting increased patrols over Halloween. The effort is being funded by a grant from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office. This blitz is underway and will continue through Saturday, Oct. 31.

Deputies will pay particular attention for violations, such as driving under the influence, failure to yield, and speeding; all of which are leading factors in fatal crashes.
