State patrol checkpoint nets one arrest for driving under influence

The Ohio State Highway Patrol along with the Rossford Police Department, Perrysburg Township Police Department, and Wood County Sheriff’s Office conducted an OVI checkpoint on Friday from 9 p.m. till midnight. on U.S. 20 between Crossroads Parkway and Lime City Road in the City of Rossford.

The checkpoint yielded one arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, with four vehicles being diverted. Contact was made with over 822 vehicles at the checkpoint. After the checkpoint law enforcement officers made an additional one OVI arrest throughout Wood County. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds you to call #677 if you suspect an impaired driver.
