Strow’s years of service to community will be asset on school board

Voters in the Bowling Green school district will be voting on three members for the board. Richard Strow will be one of my picks and here is why.

While I’ve known Richard for many years and consider him a friend, he has some unique qualifications that would make him a valuable asset to the BGCS school soard. Richard and his family are a product of the Bowling Green school system. If you walk the halls, you’ll see his name on a number of plaques that honor and highlight his accomplishments. As a young adult, he followed in his family footsteps in farming and in becoming a leader in the Masons by holding offices leading up to the State level.

Richard has served over seven years on the Wood County Board of Health. He has knowledge of the financial aspects, grant writing process and growth of the Wood County Health Department including the new dental services. These skills will help Richard become a valuable part of the BGCS board.

While Richard has many years of service to our community which tells us a lot about him, he is the only candidate for BG School Board who lives outside the city limits. That gives him a unique perspective of an important segment of the BGCS district. I believe it is important to have participating voices from all sectors of the BGCS.

Richard Strow will be a voice of knowledge and reason for our school system, our students and our community. He will get my vote and I hope you will consider him too.
