Susan Hill

Susan Patricia Hill, 60 years of age, of Haskins, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Cancer.

Susan was born on June 24, 1956 to Harold and Joanne (Sears) Duncan in Buffalo, New York.   She married Bernard “Ben” Hill on September 11, 2002 and he survives her in Haskins, Ohio.

Along with her husband Ben, Susan is survived by her mother: Joanne Duncan, of Orchard Park, New York; sons: Adam (Amber) Bishop of Pandora, Ohio; Mark (Andrea) Bishop, of Pataskala, Ohio; stepsons: Jason (Julie) Hill, of Pickerington, Ohio; James Hill, of Neapolis, Ohio; sisters:  Mary Jo Duncan, of West Seneca, New York; Kathleen Norton and Michele Behnfeldt, both of Florida; a brother: John (Mary) Duncan, of Orchard Park, New York; grandchildren: Ethan and Oliver Bishop; step grandchildren Tyler, Chase, Leah, Allison and Abigail Hill.   Susan was preceded in death by her father Harold Duncan.

Susan graduated from Trocaire College of Nursing in Buffalo, New York where she graduated with Honors and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.   Susan was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Bowling Green and worked for over 15 years as a Registered Nurse for Wood County Hospital.

Susan had many hobbies and interests in life, she loved cooking and baking for her family and she was known that when she cooked or baked she could have fed the entire neighborhood.   She enjoyed doing crafts, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.  However what Susan enjoyed most was spending time with her children and grandchildren and fishing with her husband Ben.

Visitation for Susan will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:30 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171.  Susan’s Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the St. Thomas More University Parish, 425 Thurstin Avenue, Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402.   Interment will be private for the family in Buffalo, New York.

Memorial Contributions in Susan’s honor may be gifted to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio, 43402 or to the Wood County Humane Society, 801 Van Camp Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402
