Three arrests made at checkpoint in BG

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, along with assistance from the Bowling Green Police Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Office, and Ohio Department of Transportation, conducted an OVI checkpoint on Friday night (8-18-23) on East Wooster Street.

The following are the results of that checkpoint.

A total of 1,072 vehicles were checked from 7:30-10 p.m. In that time, there were two OVI arrests made, along with three firearms seized (as a result of driving impaired while in possession of loaded firearms), and one felony drug arrest.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol would like to remind motorists to always drive sober and never get behind the wheel of vehicle if you have been drinking or consuming any type of drugs.
