Three downtown trees to be removed and replaced next week

Downtown Bowling Green

As part of the Bowling Green street tree inspections last fall, three pear trees within the 100 blocks of North and South Main streets were determined needing removed and replaced. This work is scheduled to take place next week and will require a temporary closure of the sidewalk within the work zone and the removal of parking. It is possible that traffic may be restricted temporarily as well.

Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 16, at 8 a.m. and last until approximately noon. This work will continue the next day on Wednesday, March 17, with stump removal and the planting of new trees. This schedule is subject to change depending on progress of work and weather.
