‘Toxic’ partisan divide reflects divergence in sources of information

I read with interest the ‘toxic’ divide statistics within the October 4, 2024 article: “BGSU poll finds Trump & Issue 1 with solid leads & Brown with edge over Moreno; electorate sees ‘toxic’ divide”

Having conversations with my brother I have found it fascinating and frightening that Trump “cult members” refuse to consider  “any” source for news other than Fox News or pronouncements from Donald Trump.

If you spend any time watching Fox News you will see why.  The coverage, in my opinion, is rarely balanced.  My brother repeats Fox News claims as factual and refuses to consider any other video or written source of information from any source.

Those individuals in the Dupont article* :  The Democracy and Public Policy Research Network in the Department of Political Science at Bowling Green State University should ask for information on the sources Democrats, Independents,  and Republicans reference in forming their opinions.  It will be enlightening.
