My friend and colleague Joel O’Dorisio is running for Ohio Senate in District 2. Joel will make an excellent Ohio Senator because he cares about people, works hard, and fights for the middle class.
I know Joel most closely through the work we have done together with the faculty union at BGSU. Joel was instrumental in our successful drive to unionize. More importantly, he was an active member of each of the three negotiating teams that have produced increasingly fair contracts for BGSU faculty. He has worked to protect the dignity of work for all BGSU faculty, as well as making sure all faculty are fairly compensated and covered through good health insurance benefits.
Joel cares about people and he puts his concerns into action. He does his research and remains committed and focused through what are often grueling bargaining processes. I know he will work just as hard for us in Columbus.
