Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn has been appointed to the executive committee for the National Sheriffs Association. He has been a member of the NSA board of directors since 2010.
The National Sheriffs Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising the level of professionalism among those in law enforcement. The NSA is a key player in shaping national policy on criminal justice issues.
Wasylyshyn will be filling the unexpired term of a North Carolina sheriff who retired in December.
