Wet, heavy snow blankets BG

Bicyclist pedals down South Grove Street as snow began to taper off Wednesday afternoon.

Bowling Green got a covering of wet, heavy snow – great for snowballs, lousy for shoveling – today (Jan. 25). The snow fell throughout the day delivering about 4 inches, short of the eight inches possible.

The National Weather Service’s winter storm warning remains in effect until 11 p.m. tonight. Snow showers will continue through Saturday, with accumulations expected for an inch or less each day.
