The Wood County Community Health Center invites families to cool off and celebrate community during its second annual “Popsicle Party in the Park” on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the inclusive playground at Carter Park, 104 Campbell Hill Road, Bowling Green.
Held in recognition of National Health Center Week, this free community event welcomes children of all ages and abilities for an evening of popsicles, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with organizations that support children and families throughout Wood County. National Health Center Week is an annual celebration recognizing the role community health centers play in providing quality, affordable healthcare and improving access to care for individuals and families.
Community partners will be on-hand to share resources, answer questions, and highlight programs available year-round, including:
- Children’s Resource Center
- The Cocoon
- Great Lakes Community Action Partnership – Head Start
- La Conexion
- Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities
- Wood County Health Department
- Wood County WIC
Because of the support of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, this event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
