Wood County reports 139 new cases of COVID since Monday

Wood County has reported another 139 COVID cases, and four new hospitalizations since Monday, bringing the total number for the county to 13,903, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.

The number of deaths is 231, and the number of hospitalizations grew to 676.

Wood County is now at 140.65 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, putting the county in the high transmission range.

As of today, 54.98% of Wood County’s population has been vaccinated. That’s 71,928 people who have gotten at least their first vaccine dose.

During the last two weeks, the 256 COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show 71 cases in the Perrysburg area, 70 cases in the Bowling Green area, 18 in North Baltimore, 17 in Northwood, 12 in the Luckey area, 8 in Walbridge, 7 in Tontogany, 5 in Rossford, and 6 each in the areas of Fostoria, Bloomdale, Weston, Grand Rapids, Wayne, Rudolph, Millbury, and Cygnet-Jerry City.
