Wood County reports 234 new cases of COVID, 4 hospitalizations

Wood County has reported 234 new COVID cases, and four new hospitalizations since Thursday, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.

That brings the total for the county to 16,468 cases, 241 deaths, and 759 hospitalizations from COVID.

Wood County is seeing an average of 47 new COVID cases each day, and is now at 340 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, keeping the county in the high transmission range.

During the last two weeks, the 592 new COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show that all areas of the county are affected. The highest number of cases in the last two weeks were reported in Bowling Green, 147; BGSU campus, 8; Perrysburg, 146; Northwood, 58; Walbridge, 28; Rossford, 28; Weston, 27; and North Baltimore, 24.
