Wood County reports 79 new COVID cases, 1 death, 5 hospitalizations since Thursday

Wood County has reported another 79 COVID cases, one more death, and five hospitalizations since Thursday, bringing the total number for the county to 13,764, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.

The number of deaths grew to 231, and the number of hospitalizations grew to 672.

Wood County is now at 107.02 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, putting the county in the high transmission range.

As of today, 54.8% of Wood County’s population has been vaccinated. That’s 71,688 people who have gotten at least their first vaccine dose.
