Wood County has reported 20 new COVID cases, three deaths and four more hospitalizations since Monday, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.
That brings the total for the county to 19,172 cases, 276 deaths, and 849 hospitalizations from COVID.
Wood County is seeing an average of 62 new COVID cases each day, and is now at 420 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, keeping the county in the high transmission range.
During the last two weeks, the 814 new COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show that all areas of the county are affected. The highest number of cases in the last two weeks were reported in Perrysburg, 273; Bowling Green, 224; Northwood, 43; Walbridge, 37; Rossford, 32; Weston, 23; Millbury, 22; North Baltimore, 21; Pemberville, 18; Wayne, 13; Luckey, 14; Fostoria, 13; Portage, 12; Bradner, 11; and Grand Rapids, 10.
Several schools in the county have reported recent cases of COVID. The report issued Nov. 24 gave an update of cases, including:
- BG Christian Academy Preschool, 2 students, 0 staff.
- BG Christian Academy, 9 students, 4 staff.
- BG City Schools, 27 students, 9 staff.
- Eastwood, 10 students, 3 staff.
- Lake, 6 students, 1 staff.
- Otsego, 7 students, 10 staff.
- Perrysburg, 25 students, 2 staff.
- Penta, 8 students, 1 staff.
- Rossford, 5 students, 2 staff.
- St. Rose School, 2 students, 0 staff.
