Zachary Karpuszka

Zachary David Karpuszka “Zach”, born on March 30, 1995, will be remembered for his passion for music and his love for family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Alissa (Jacobs) Karpuszka, and their daughter, Millie. Zach is survived by his parents, David and Andrea (Bade) Karpuszka, as well as his sisters, Vicki and Nicole Karpuszka. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Lisa and Ed Jacobs, brother-in-law Austin Jacobs and his cherished grandparents, Eileen Karpuszka, Wilma Bade, and Carole Fitzwater. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents: Ronald Karpuszka, Richard Bade, James Fitzwater, and James and Victoria Jacobs.

A graduate of Riverside High School, Zach earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music Education from Bowling Green State University. He was a dedicated Band Director at Delta Junior High and High School and was an active member of the music ministry at St. John XXIII. A talented musician, he enjoyed playing the saxophone and participated in several barbershop quartets. He was known for his love of Disney, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his enjoyment of playing golf. Zach loved his Fam Bam Snuggle Time with his daughter Millie and play time with her was always special.

A Public Viewing will be held at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass for Zach at St. John XXIII will be held on February 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a Graveside Service at Oak Grove Cemetery.

To honor Zach’s fun-loving personality, guests are welcome to wear Delta, BGSU, or Pittsburgh Steelers spirit wear to the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John XXIII, the Delta High School music boosters, or to the family to establish a college fund for Millie.
