A Bowling Green man was charged with domestic violence and strangulation on Thursday (Feb. 12) after a woman sought treatment at Wood County Hospital the day following the alleged assault in the 1000 block of Third Street.
Harley Conley, 32, who has a prior conviction for domestic violence in Bowling Green Municipal Court, was arrested and taken to Wood County Jail.
Bowling Green Police responded to the hospital, where the reported victim said Conley got on top of her and began strangling her till she was going in and out of consciousness. The police report noted bruises on her face, where the woman said he was hitting her with a hard cast on his right hand, which was broken. The report also mentioned bruises and scratches on her arm and marks on her chest and neck.
