Bowling Green Police Division responded to 14 crashes in the last 24 hours, with most being non-injury accidents on slippery roads, according to Lt. Dan Mancuso.
With more snow overnight, the streets are slick this morning.
“There are icy spots, and people need to slow down and drive cautiously,” Mancuso said.
Later today, winds are expected to pick up, which will probably make driving more difficult, especially on the edges of city limits.
“We’ll see lots of drifting,” if the wind forecasts are correct, Mancuso said.
The high for today is forecasted as 26 degrees, with winds reaching 32 mph. Overnight, winds are forecasted to reach 25 mph, with temperatures bottoming out at 18 degrees.
Wood County is under a Level 1 snow alert, and Bowling Green City Schools are closed today.
