The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic stage musical, as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. “The SpongeBob Musical,” based on the series by Stephen Hillenburg and book by Kyle Jarrow with original songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! at the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants, and T.I., as well as songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley. Additional lyrics by Jonathan Coulton and additional music by Tom Kitt. Musical production conceived by Tina Landau.
Perrysburg Musical Theatre is seeking auditionees that sing, act, dance and even skateboard for this fun-filled musical, directed by Ashley Cambers, with music direction by Adam Miller and choreography by Julie O’Connell. The show will be staged at Owens Community College on June 23-26.
Auditions for performers ages 8-22 will be on April 19 and April 21 from 6-9 p.m. Dancers who would like to be part of the dance troupe will audition April 24 from 4-5pm. Callbacks if needed, will be held April 24 from 1-4 p.m.
All auditions and callbacks will be held at St. Timothy’s Church in Perrysburg. All auditioning are asked to go to the PMT website, www.perrysburgmusicaltheatre.org for an audition form, audition packet and sign up for an audition slot.
