We are saddened to announce the passing of Kit L. Brown on Monday, April 29th, 2024, at the age of 68 while surrounded by family. A long-time resident of Rudolph, Ohio and member of the Bowling Green community, Kit was known for his joy of misbehaving as well as his strength in looking out for those he cared about.
He was proud of the BGHS football team, which was undefeated when he was on it in 1973. He had many life long friends. He worked for the City of Bowling Green as a supervisor at the Wastewater Treatment Plant from which he retired. He loved traveling, riding his motorcycle (rain or shine), attending auctions, pulling tabs at The Eagles, as well as visiting with friends and family.
Kit is survived by one sister, Evelyn “Pinky” Proffitt, Step-Children who he raised as his own, Katie (Blair) Mulinix and Joseph Cary, As well as neices and nephews and extended family who he loved very much, and many close friends who brought him smiles and support. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Merabelle (Pultz) Brown, as well as his siblings, Edith Marshall, Terry Brown, and Jewel McAfee.
Services for Kit will be held at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home at 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green, on Friday, May 3, 2024, beginning at 12:00pm, with his celebration of life being held at 1:00 pm. After the conclusion of the Celebration of Life service there will be a reception at The Eagles in Bowling Green.
