Library hosting annual Holiday Tree Lighting

The Wood County District Public Library will kick off the

holiday season with  Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration Friday Nov.  22 beginning at 4 with a screening of “Elf” starring Will Ferrell,  with the tree lighting at 7 p.m., and concludig with a performance by the BGHS Madrigals in the atrium at 7:15 p.m.

This year, families can visit the library at 6p.m. for a special holiday storytime and craft along with plenty of other family-friendly activities. Keep warm with outdoor games like giant Jenga from the Library of Things, or grab a hot drink and donut holes. 

Schedule of Events:

Movie Showing of “Elf,” 4 p.m.

Meet Your Favorite Holiday Characters: The Grinch, Elf on a Shelf, and Ruby the Frog from WBGU-PBS, 5 p.m.

Ugly Sweater Contest, 5:30 p.m.

Special Holiday Storytime &Craft in The Children’s Place, 6 p.m.

Tree Lighting in the Front Lawn (light up wristbands will be available while supplies last, Outdoor games, hot drinks, and donut holes will be provided) 7 p.m.

The Madrigals Perform in the Atrium, 7:15 p.m. –
