Kurt R. Mazey, 58, of Weston, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1966, to Gene and Sue (Bechstein) Mazey. He married Michelle Booth on June 28, 1997, and she survives in Weston.
Kurt was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. After graduating, he started working for his family’s business, Mazey Construction. He was self-employed for several years until most recently working for Metzger Brecheisen Company as a senior carpenter. Kurt had a love for all things outdoors; hunting, fishing and especially raising pigs and goats. Each year he took a trip with friends to the Au Sable River in Michigan. Kurt enjoyed playing slow pitch softball and volleyball, never missing an opportunity to reminisce. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, but above all Kurt cherished the moments he spent with his family.
Kurt leaves behind a family who will cherish his memory forever: his loving parents Gene and Sue Mazey of Grand Rapids, Ohio, devoted wife Michelle of Weston, Ohio, his treasured children Tyler (Kinsey) Mazey of Weston, Ohio, Aubrey Mazey of Weston, Ohio, his siblings Kevin (Amy) Mazey of Weston, Ohio, Ryan (Sandy) Mazey of Weston, Ohio and many dear friends.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home located in the Historical District of Bowling Green, Ohio at 408 W. Wooster St.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to give to Wood County Swine Department in Kurt’s memory.
