32-year-old Michigan woman dies in one-vehicle crash in Fostoria

A Michigan woman died late this morning (12-30-23) in a one-vehicle crash on State Route 199 near milepost 1 in the city of Fostoria.

The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the call at 11:53 a.m.

The patrol reports that 32-year-old Holly M. Bogard of Grosse Ile, Michigan was operating a 2012 Ford Escape southbound on State Route 199 (McCutchenville Road) when her  vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway striking a traffic sign and a utility pole.

Bogard was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Wood County Coroner’s Office.

Bogard was not wearing her safety belt and the crash remains under investigation.

The State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Fostoria Police Department,

Fostoria Fire Department, Fostoria EMS, and Or’s Sunoco Towing.
