From WESTON SPORTS INITIATIVE ASSOCIATION
Weston Sports Initiative Association recently celebrated opening day. The event was rained out on its original date but was able to be held the next day on Sunday, May 17. There was a parade of the different teams for the season, followed by the first T-ball game of the year. Then, there was a fun-play game where athletes from other Weston teams could play. There were raffles, food trucks, and concessions.
Weston Sports Initiative Association is a local nonprofit organization that funds and regulates the sports programs in Weston, including youth baseball and softball, as well as adult softball. It strives for a safe and fun experience for all athletes. It is managed by a volunteer-based board of directors that works to maintain the programs in the community.
