The 2nd annual Art Show on the Fringe in Perrysburg will take place Saturday, Aug. 15, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Big Daddy Graphics, 121 Burlingwood Drive, Perrysburg.
The event was started last year by a group of Perrysburg area artists “on the fringe” of the Perrysburg Hearts the Arts event in downtown Perrysburg (Read more about the 2026 Perrysburg Hearts the Arts by clicking here).
The “fringe” artists wanted to show their fine art but not be juried in the local, downtown art show in which they had previously participated. Knowing that large-scale art events draw more visitors and media attention, the organizers considered the possibility of establishing a second, simultaneous art show a block away from the original downtown show, so on the “fringe,” as it were.

Featured artists at On the Fringe Art Show include:
- Rex Russell, Perrysburg, an award-winning painter of landscapes, human figures and animals
- Joan Clare Brown, a ceramicist originally from Philadelphia who holds BFA and MFA degrees from BGSU
- Christine Hattendorf, Perrysburg, a painter who specializes in flora and fauna and abstract composition
- JAX, Bowling Green, an oil painter focusing on “your favorite food and your favorite people”
- Kelleigh Bossa, Perrysburg, a mixed media artist who focuses on recycled art, finding inspiration in reimagining broken or discarded materials into one-of-a-kind works
- Eric Siebeneck, Findlay, an award-winning painter and chalk art artist
- Christine Swiergosz, Oregon (Ohio), an award-winning fine artist who specializes in fused glass art
- Kristy Luther, a jewelry artist who owns K. Lu Articles in Monclova
- Matthew Russell, Detroit, a producer and audio designer whose recent work explores the complexity of nature, transforming it into generative musical systems
- Bren Clixby, Toledo, a highly collected painter who specializes in colorfully painting human figures, animals and landscapes
- Brian Lowe, Toledo, a fine artist working in mixed media
- Linda Shetzer, an Ohio artist whose watercolor, acrylic and mixed-media paintings celebrate the beauty of nature and everyday moments.
Organizers hope visitors will check out both Perrysburg Hearts the Arts and Art Show on the Fringe, which are staged two blocks from each other.
