Wood County senior citizens are invited to attend a presentation by Judge Joel M. Kuhlman on Monday, Oct. 19, starting at 10 a.m., at the Wood County Common Pleas Court – Office Building, fourth floor, Courtroom Four.
Kuhlman will speak specifically to senior citizens about how trial courts serve as the primary resolvers of disputes in the judicial system, acting as the very first stop for most legal cases. They are often called courts of original jurisdiction, because they are the first to hear, examine, and decide a case based on the presented evidence and testimony.
Kuhlman is hosted by the Wood County Committee on Aging.
