From PEMBERVILLE OPERA HOUSE
After an 18-month hiatus due to the pandemic, Live! In the House Concert Series is back in its 13th year. Coming back to live music once again after being shuttered for 18 months, the Pemberville Opera House, 115 Main St., Pemberville, opens its 13th season with Vincent Paul Bryant and State Route 33 on Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m..
The Pemberville Opera House was built in 1892 and completely restored to its’ original glory in 1999. Built as a true ‘theatre on the second floor’, the opera house is completely handicapped accessible.
Also scheduled for the 2021-2022 season are:
- Oct. 2 – Kathy Johnson: “Her songs are memorable, filled with wit, substance and humor. . . She has a way of grabbing ordinary moments and working them into something that everybody can relate to no matter what”
- Nov. 5 and 6 – “Churchill: A One Man Play” : “Andrew Edlin is spellbinding as Winston Churchill…fascinating, hilarious and dramatic…a truly remarkable play”
- Dec. 4 – An A Cappella Christmas: Join Heartland Sings and singalong with all your favorite Christmas music. This is sure to be a memorable evening.
- Jan. 8 – Silent Movie Night: One of our most popular programs. Take a stroll down to the local movie house and catch a ‘flicker show’! Featuring Lynne Long on the piano!
- Feb.5 – Elizabeth Hayes Jazz ReVue: All your favorite standards all in one wonderful night of jazz. You will love Elizabeth’s hauntingly beautiful voice.
- March 5 – The Geezecats GeezeCats (geez kats) n. Slang 1. Some cool old guys. 2. Aging hipsters, hepcats. 3. A topnotch premium quality Doo-Wop band from Cleveland.
- April 2 – Two Friends, Two Keyboards, Too Fun! The title about explains it all! Two friends playing two keyboards and having a ball doing so! You will too!
- May 7 –The Midwestern Swing Busy bringing ‘swing’ to the Midwest and beyond! A wonderful evening of fast paced toe tappin’ swing!
