Alvin “Al” Adams, age 56, of Grand Rapids, OH passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green, OH. He was born on August 21, 1960 in Prestonsburg, KY to Leo and Annie (Holbrook) Adams. Al was a jail Sergeant for the Wood County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years. His memberships included: Gunslingers Motorcycle Club- Black Swamp Chapter and the F.O.P. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his grandchildren.
Al is survived by his children: Aubrey (Ron) Stowers of Northwood, Leo Adams of Cincinnati, grandchildren: Kylie, Mackenzie, Grayson and a set of twins to be born in February, mother: Annie Adams of Carey, brother: Calvin (Belinda) Adams of Marysville, sister: Brenda (Terry) Snyder of Luckey, significant other: Rebecca Olms of Grand Rapids and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Leo Adams and sister: Louann Martin.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 3-9 PM at Nazareth Hall, 21211 W. River Road, Grand Rapids, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11 AM. There will be additional visitation on Friday at Nazareth Hall from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. James Budke. Interment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at Glass City Board Walk, 27820 E. Broadway, Walbridge, OH immediately following the cemetery committal services. Arrangements are being handled by the Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to: Ronald McDonald House Charities, Toledo.
