Barbara E. Metz, 102, of Bowling Green, passed away on February 8, 2017. She was born on July 23, 1914 in Berlin Heights, Ohio to Hugh and Mayme (Gerhart) Kilbride. She married Franklin W. Metz on August 20, 1946 and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Metz was a public school teacher in both Wood and Henry Counties for 21 years. She had attended Bowling Green State University and was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association and St. Aloysius Church. Surviving are a sister, Mary Wallace and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel and George Kilbride. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 13, 2017 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 150 S. Enterprise St. Father Mark Davis will officiate and interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Dunn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
