BG Police arrest 2 Oklahoma men reportedly driving stolen U-Haul vehicle

Bowling Green Police Division arrested two Oklahoma men for receiving stolen property after a license plate camera picked up on the license of a U-Haul vehicle reported stolen from Helena, Montana.

Carson Lindemer, 20, and David Mendiola, 31, both of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, were arrested and taken to Wood County Jail.

Police found the U-Haul in the parking lot of Greenwood Centre, 1616 E. Wooster St., on Saturday around 4 p.m. One man had gone inside a gas station, and the other into a restaurant.

Mendiola had a contract for the U-Haul, but it had reportedly expired on Sept. 29. The Helena, Montana, Police Department also advised that Carson was listed as a missing person, and just needed to check on his welfare. Helena Police Department advised they will be charging the two men with theft.
