BG Police arrest man for domestic violence, trespassing, criminal mischief and assault

Bowling Green Police arrested a man in the early hours of Sunday for domestic violence and took him to Wood County Jail.

Andrew Charles Morse, 34, with an address listed in Grayton, was charged with domestic violence, criminal trespassing, criminal mischief and assault.

Police were called to a home in the 500 block of West Gypsy Lane Road around 1 a.m., after residents reported that Morse’s daughter had sought refuge in their home after Morse reportedly threw things at her, including a lamp which hit her in the back of the head. She had reportedly been trying to help him find his keys.

The girl ran to a neighbor’s home, and reportedly got inside just before Morse got there. Morse allegedly pounded on the door. The resident eventually opened the door and told police that Morse tried to bite him.

The two men tussled and fell through the front railing of the home. The resident reported that Morse punched him in the ear, which was bleeding, and injured his shoulder and both knees.

Video from the home showed the fight, then showed Morse pulling one of the video cameras down.

Morse reportedly ran from police at the scene, and was located lying on the ground near the Slippery Elm Trail.
