BG Police arrest man for trespassing in apartment

Bowling Green Police responded to a burglary Wednesday around 4 p.m., in the 400 block of Frazee Avenue.

A resident of the apartment reported coming home to find someone in the apartment. Tyler James Brogan, 30, who had two black garbage bags with him, reportedly told the resident that he was homeless. He left the apartment, and police located him about four blocks away at Summit and Evers streets.

One of the roommates on Frazee Avenue told police he returned home around 3:30 p.m. and went to his bedroom. He stated that he left the door unlocked because one of his roommates would be home shortly.

The second roommate returned home around 3:45 p.m., and realized someone was in one of the bathrooms. She told police that when she tried to push the door open, someone pushed back.

Brogan reportedly told the two roommates that he was there looking for a third roommate who lives in the apartment. He was told to leave the apartment. The third roommate was called, and he said he did not give Brogan permission to enter the apartment.

When asked by police if he had permission to be in the apartment, Brogan reportedly replied that he wasn’t told that he couldn’t be there.

Brogan was charged with burglary and trespassing in a residence. He was taken to the Wood County jail.
