BG Police seek help identifying two males who reportedly used stolen debit card

Video of two males reportedly using stolen CashApp card Monday evening in Bowling Green.

Bowling Green Police responded to the theft of items from a car after a woman got a notification on her phone Monday evening of her CashApp debit card being used at a local pizza shop, tobacco store and drug store.

The woman, who lives in the 1000 block of Fairview Avenue, told police her wallet and phone charger were missing from her unlocked vehicle.

The woman was notified of her debit card being used for a $23.74 pizza purchase, and two transactions for $150 and $73 from SmokeTown. She called and canceled her debit card, then received notice of a failed transaction at CVS.

Since the woman had called Jet’s Pizza about the order she did not place, the employee at the pizza shop did not give the pizza to the two men who tried to pick it up. An employee at SmokeTown said he recognized one of the two males who used the card, as someone he doesn’t sell to because he is underage. The other male, however, appeared to be older, so he allowed the purchase.

Videotape of the purchase showed two males reportedly using the stolen debit card. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call BGPD at 419-352-1131.
