Bowling Green will celebrate the lighting of its Christmas tree & the beginning of Holly Days

Students from Julie's Dance Studio prance around the BG Christmas tree.

The annual Bowling Green Tree Lighting will be held the evening of Friday, Nov. 17 on the grounds of the Bowling Green District Public Library.

The celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments provided by Biggby Coffee, Qdoba, and Kabob It and a story from read by Tony Vetter, the director of Downtown BG.

The BGHS Madrigals will then sing a few songs before the tree lighting begins.

Mayor Mike Aspacher and other dignitaries will arrive at 7 p.m. on a fire truck, courtesy of the Bowling Green Fire Division.

Julie’s Dance Studio will then present a short performance in front of the tree immediately before the Mayor speaks and the tree is lit.

Afterwards, the Madrigals will perform inside in the library atrium.
