The number of new cases of COVID-19 cases at Bowling Green State University has jumped in the past week.
On its latest dashboard, the university reported 32 cases for the period of Nov. 10 through Nov. 16.
That included 28 students – 23 confirmed and five reported but not confirmed, and two faculty and two staff. That’s twice what was reported the previous period. The university’s cases had plateaued at that rate for more than a month.
This brings the total cases for the semester to 607 – 565 students, 18 faculty, and 24 staff. One student is in isolation after testing positive, and one student is quarantined after being exposed.
The university also reported that 69.6 percent of students have said they are vaccinated, and 56.8 percent of those confirmed. That rate is 79.8 percent of residential students report being vaccinated. Of those 68.7 percent are confirmed.
Of full-time faculty and staff, 75.1 percent are vaccinated.
