Deadlines are near for nominations for BG Chamber annual awards

The deadlines  are approaching for the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce annual award nominations are fast approaching. Each year, the Chamber recognizes businesses and individuals in the community who help to make Bowling Green a wonderful place to work and live. 

Winners will be announced and recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting Dinner and Awards ceremony, Saturday, May 6.

The following awards have a nomination deadline of March 10:

  • The Outstanding Customer Service Award honors the local business that provides exceptional customer service to all their patrons.
  • The Small Business of the Year Award honors Chamber Investors that demonstrate achievement in management and workplace excellence, product innovation, and community and social responsibility.
  • The Athena and Zeus Awards programs celebrate the potential of all women as valued members and leaders of the community and recognizes those who support them. The Athena award is awarded to women who have devoted their own time and energy to give back to their community, and initiate paths so that others may follow.
  • The Zeus award is annually awarded to is someone who continually gives back to the larger community of women by providing and/or supporting leadership development opportunities and initiatives.
  • The Greg Kegler Volunteerism Award honors individuals that demonstrate an exceptional dedication of volunteerism and support for the Chamber.

The remaining awards have a nomination deadline of April 1:

  • The Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award recognizes two citizens (one male, one female) that focus their work on the Bowling Green area and have demonstrated an active leadership role for the community through involvement in business, civic, social and/or service organizations. Candidates must live and/or work in the Bowling Green area and must demonstrate active leadership which serves and improves their community.
  • The I Love BG Award honors individuals or organizations for their efforts in increasing the visibility and promotion of the City as well as improving the quality of life for Bowling Green residents.

The Outstanding Customer Service and Small Business of the Year awards have online submissions open at bgchamber.net/annual-awards.

For the Athena, Zeus, Outstanding Citizen of the Year, Greg Kegler Volunteerism and I Love BG awards, the nomination forms are available on the website: bgchamber.net/annual-awards.

Completed forms can be emailed to admin@bgchamber.net or brought to the Chamber office located at 217 S. Church St.
