Dean Desmond Hall, 56, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away May 30, 2019 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. He was born on July 25, 1962 to Ella Mae (Thomas) and the late Wille Hall in Toledo, Ohio. He married Julie (Bey) Hall on August 12, 2010 and she survives him in Bowling Green.
Dean is also survived by his children: Ryan Hall (Heather) of Tecumseh, MI; Bradley Hall (Joy) of Toledo; Sydney Hall of Toledo; Shay Hall of Bowling Green; Grant Richards of Bowling Green; & Mercedes Hall of Bowling Green; a brother: Keith Sutton; a sister: Dawn McDonald (Paul); and a grandson Oscar. Along with his father, Dean is preceded in death by a brother: Willie Hall Jr.; and grandparents: Henry (Katie) Thomas; Robert (Inez) Lightfoot; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws.
Dean graduated from Swanton High School and was a star athlete. He excelled at football and track & field. His senior year he was the state champion in discus and still holds the school record at Swanton. He went on to play football (offensive line) for Bowling Green State University. At BGSU he earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling. He worked as a counselor at Juvenile Residential Center and was a member of Sonlight Church. Dean love music especially funk and reggae, was a fan of the Detroit Lions and the BGSU Men’s Basketball team, and had a small obsession with finding Bigfoot. He will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Gathering for Dean will be held on June 17, 2019 from 4:00 PM until his Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory 1460 W Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made at any Fifth Third Bank to “The Benefit of the Children of Dean Hall”.
