E-Waste recycling drive scheduled for BGSU

The BGSU Office of Campus Sustainability with AIM Recycling will hold a free Electronics Recycling Drive Saturday, April 1 from  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of BGSU’s Slater Family Ice Arena, 417 N. Mercer Road.

The items collected will include computers, laptops, monitors, printers and other IT and office equipment, wires/cables/cords, light ballasts, cellphones/telephones, cameras and AV equipment, household appliances, and much more.  Flat Screen TVs Only will be accepted – no tube TV’s or CRT screens.

Includes certified destruction of hard drives. 

All electronic devices and scrap items will be disposed of in an environmentally safe way with zero  landfill waste

More than 50 million tons of “E-Waste” is produced every year in the U.S., the majority ending up in landfills.
