Bowling Green Exchange Club members are hosting an opportunity to support families who need help with food and supplies for their animal friends. The event takes place June 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Arlyn’s Good Beer, 520 Hankey Ave. There will be live music in the evening.
“Everyone is invited to come by for friendship and beverages, and to drop off a bag of dog or cat food, or cat litter,” said Michele Raine, Exchange Club secretary. “Brown Bag Food Project lists dog and cat food as part of their ‘high demand’ list, and Exchange Club knows how important our furry friends are to our well-being. We hope people will help us support this project and come by for some fun and get to know our club.”
This year, the Exchange Club has supported the Brown Bag Food Project, the Wood County District Public Library’s Bookmobile, the Farm to Market project at the Wood County Fair, and BGHS student scholarships as part of its mission of unity through service.
Guests may join club members for lunch at noon on Tuesdays in Beckett’s back room and to learn more about the club’s projects. The cost for lunch is $13 per person.
The Exchange Club of Bowling Green has been serving the community since 1946.
