The next Food Distribution & Senior Food Box Program at First United Methodist Church, 1526 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green, will be Friday, Aug. 6, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The free monthly food giveaway will be back in the building this month. Participants are asked to follow the posted signs to enter at the front of the church.

For the safety of volunteers and the on-site day care, masks are strongly encouraged and required for all unvaccinated people. Additionally, social distancing is required to prevent the spread of COVID-10.  Doors will open at 9 a.m., although early line-ups are discouraged.

Free fresh produce and food will be available in limited quantities. This is for anyone in Wood County who meets the income guidelines or who has recently lost their job.  SeaGate Food Bank also is present at the same time to hand out Senior Boxes to those who meet their eligibility requirements. The food bank will not be inside the building, but will be set up in the parking lot.
